About Karen
I have a degree in Biological Sciences and have worked in schools for 10 years - both state schools and independent schools. I am very good at helping students individually with both the academic and the practical side of Biology. I keep up to date with curriculum changes and make fresh teaching resources on a regular basis.

My strengths in tutoring are patience, clear explanations and treating each student as an individual so tailoring my method to suit each person. Lessons are structured to start with the basics, go on to necessary details for higher grades and then to bring to a clear conclusion. I always start the next lesson with a recap of the one before to make sure it was understood. I feel there is no point moving on until ideas are clear.
