I favor the use of problem-based learning case studies to empower my students to create authentic knowledge that is attached to real-world situations. I couple this with scientific inquiry combined with bias recognition and equity awareness to create true disciplinary science literacy. My experience allows me to model this technique across differentiated and culturally responsive classroom situations.
