About Sara
Hi! I’m Sara, a PhD student in Medicine based in Melbourne. I’m originally from Italy, where I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in biology and biotechnology. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a biology tutor and academic coach for high school and university students. I have years of experience helping students understand biology in a clear and simple way. I also specialize in scientific writing support, especially for students who speak English as a second language, including lab reports, essays, and assignment feedback. Whether you’re preparing for exams or trying to improve your academic writing, I’m here to support you with tailored, one-on-one lessons.

In our lessons, I focus on understanding your personal learning goals and challenges.
For biology tutoring, I adapt to your level (VCE, IB, or university) and explain complex topics in simple, visual ways. I use diagrams, real-life examples, and exam-style questions to help you feel confident with the content and ready for assessments.
For scientific writing, I help you improve lab reports, essays, and assignments by focusing on structure, clarity, critical thinking, and academic English. If you're a non-native English speaker, I can also support you with grammar and expression.
Lessons are one-on-one, either online or in-person, and always tailored to your needs. I aim to build confidence, not just grades.
