About Julietta
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at UC Davis and currently in a Masters program in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at SJSU. I earned a double Associate degree in Biology and Chemistry at Foothill College and have a strong background in biology, chemistry, and biotechnology. I tutored with the EOPS and Pass the Torch programs at Foothill College both in-person and online. Most recently, I taught in-person seminars in Molecular Genetics at SJSU. I am passionate about teaching biology and chemistry related knowledge and imparting my knowledge and study skills to students so that they can develop as independent learners.

I use the Socratic method: I guide the student in reaching solutions and understanding, but I coax the student to become independent in their problem solving. I serve as an aid and helper to achieving learning goals. My lessons will not only provide assistance in addressing a specific topic in biology or chemistry, but also the studying advice and tools needed to approach future tasks in the related subject matter strategically.
