About Ellie
I'm 18 years old and, having just finished my A levels, I'm taking a gap year before heading off to Exeter University to study Biology. Throughout secondary school I have tutored students in lower years with academic support as well as general advice for exam preparation and study skills. I prepare resources beforehand for topics that students have requested, as I find this ensures the most efficient and productive use of time. I offer tutoring to GCSE level in Biology and Geography. I gained A grades in both of these subjects in my A-levels, following As and A*s for all subjects at GCSE. I also offer Maths, English and Science tuition to primary school children preparing for their SATs. If you are interested or have any questions please do get in touch! Ellie's help and support has been invaluable in helping our grandson (yr 11) with his biology GCSE.
After initially struggling with many topics, several sessions with Ellie helped him to grasp difficult concepts as well as adopting a more mature and can-do approach to his learning.I had many discussions with Ellie who mentored me throughout secondary school, who gave me advice and resources in Geography. She was really helpful when I needed help with particular exam questions – Ellie would complete them herself and then talk me through all additional points that I could have made in my answers. I have since then achieved an A in Geography GCSE (even achieving 100% in one paper!).
