About Sophie
I studied biology, chemistry, maths and physics for my A levels and did my BSc in Biological Sciences at The University of Exeter. Where I studied genetics, cellular biology and animal biology at degree level. I am now doing an MSc in conservation biology focusing on marine biology. That being said I am capable of covering all of the major GCSE and A-Level biology topics, as well as potentially being able to help with other sciences if needed.

To understand science it is useful to have a solid grasp of basic principles and understand how they are applied. Learning through answering questions rather than memorisation is the best way to gain a solid grasp of a topic. However, to achieve high grades having an understanding of the mark scheme and which points you must include to receive top marks is vital. Therefore lessons would start with a brief cover of a topic but mostly be focusing on coming up with solid answers to exam questions in a relaxed environment.
