About Jess
I have been a public school teacher for 7 years and have taught at the college prep, honors, and AP level. Over the past few years I have led the revamp of our biology curriculum to be in compliance with state standards as well as NGSS and increasing the opportunities for students to be active learners.

Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College, Masters of Education in Educational Technology from American College of Education; professionally licensed biology teacher in Massachusetts, have taught College Prep, Honors, and AP Biology as well as Physical Science and Zoology elective.
The COVID pandemic has changed the landscape of education throughout the country. As a high school science teacher and a mom, I understand the challenges that come with remote learning or hybrid learning along with balancing family life. I therefore aim to guide you through your curriculum in a supportive manner so that you unravel the material rather than simply being lectured. My teaching style is dynamic and I prefer my students take an active role in their own learning.
I utilize a variety of methods and have experience working with IEPs, CAPs, and 504s, as well as students learning the English language.
