About Arlen
My interest in biology began with fascination for how the body works and how life adapts in nature. I earned a B.Sc in Biomedical Sciences, where I studied physiology, genetics, and the foundations of health-related biology. With 7 years of teaching experience, I have helped students approach biology with clarity, confidence, and stronger academic performance.
I believe biology should feel meaningful and connected. My teaching style focuses on explanation, visual learning, and guiding students through systems step by step. I enjoy supporting learners who feel overwhelmed at first, helping them build understanding through calm structure and encouragement. Lessons are always personalised so each student progresses comfortably.
Outside of tutoring, I stay engaged with biology through continued learning and scientific reading. Teaching biology is rewarding because students often shift from confusion to fascination once ideas click. Helping learners become confident science students is something I truly value.

Biology becomes clearer when students see it as a connected story of life, from cells to entire ecosystems. In my lessons, I guide learners through topics such as cell biology, inheritance, physiology, evolution, and ecological relationships using simple explanations and strong visual support. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply rather than memorising isolated facts. Sessions are calm, engaging, and designed to build confidence through curiosity and structured learning.
Each lesson is shaped around the student’s level. Beginners learn key foundations like organ systems, basic genetics, and biological terminology with patient guidance. Intermediate learners strengthen understanding through diagrams, case-based questions, and exam-focused practice. Advanced students explore more detailed concepts such as molecular processes, homeostasis, and advanced physiology with analytical discussion. Regular review and feedback help students improve steadily.
Biology teaches students how to think scientifically and appreciate the complexity of living systems. Many learners gain confidence once they understand how topics connect logically. My goal is to help students feel capable, motivated, and excited to master biology through understanding and consistent support.
