About Aratrik

Having completed an MSc in Biomedical Sciences and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering, I am currently working towards a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University with a focus on understanding Parkinson's Disease and how to design sensible treatments from an engineering perspective. My education has afforded me the privilege of teaching students at my University through teaching assistantships, and as a result, I feel motivated to continue pursuing this passion. With six years of tutoring experience; teaching K-12 and University students; with broad ranging topics, it is my hope to meet the needs of as many students as possible.

In addition to tutoring, I have a broad spectrum of experience working for medical device companies, both federal and private, where we developed solutions for a variety of movement disorders. Furthermore, I am supporting research and development with a branch of the NIH; in an attempt to understand how the brain makes movement and how we can improve current technologies for the treatment of movement disorders using brain data.

In my free time, I like to compose music and play the guitar, which I taught myself to play through online videos. I strongly enjoy DIY projects and am progressively building my own work-shop. In the spirit of engineering and medicine, I hope to one day build medical devices that address challenge areas in movement disorders. I also love being outdoors and playing sports with my friends. Basketball and Lacrosse are two of my outdoor passions which I share with my close friends.

Looking forward to working with and getting to know potential students. See you soon!
