About Pedro
I am passionate about learning and teaching, especially when it comes to math. Having once struggled with the subject myself, I understand the challenges students face and know that, with the right approach, anyone can improve and even enjoy it. Through dedication and effective study techniques, I was able to achieve the points needed to pursue my dream course, Engineering at UCD. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing guitar, reading, going to the gym, solving math problems, and spending time with friends. I believe that a well-rounded approach to learning, combined with patience and encouragement, helps students build confidence and succeed in their studies. My goal is to make math more accessible and enjoyable for all students, no matter their starting point.

I used to struggle with maths, but through engagement and effective study techniques, I discovered a love for the subject. This newfound passion allowed me to achieve the Leaving Cert points necessary to enroll in my dream college course—Engineering at UCD. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as “not being good at maths.” With the right strategies, guidance, and practice, everyone can improve their mathematical ability and even grow to enjoy the subject.
My teaching approach focuses on making maths accessible and enjoyable. I break down complex topics into simple, understandable steps, using real-life examples to make concepts relatable. I also encourage active participation, problem-solving, and confidence-building exercises to ensure that students truly grasp the material.
Lessons typically last one hour, with flexibility depending on the student’s needs. I have experience tutoring students at various levels, from Junior Cert to Leaving Cert, and I tailor my lessons to suit each student’s learning style. Whether you need help with fundamental concepts or want to refine your exam techniques, I am here to help.
My lessons are suitable for students of all abilities, from those who find maths challenging to those aiming for top grades. With the right mindset and approach, I believe that anyone can succeed in maths—and even enjoy it!
