About Sanjana
I am a second year Biomedical Science studying at the University of Manchester. I graduated and attained my IB diploma in 2019 and have received an academic scholarship to Manchester. During school and university I gained practical experience by working in labs and performing research. I would love teaching Biology to students as it is a subject I am extremely passionate about. I previously taught students (age of 5-14) suffering from mental disorders Biology, Math, English and History for 2 years. They achieved great grades in their class and were able to understand the concepts better. I have also tutored underprivileged woman English for a month in India.

My teaching method is a combination of direction instruction, inquiry-based learning and personalised learning. I take a holistic approach to teaching each topic by connecting it to real life scenarios and by encouraging the students to question what they are being taught, while being directed in the right direction. I believe a student should be able to inquire about what and why they are learning a topic, as it instigates them to be more open minded and gain a better understanding of the topic.
