About Kieran
I am a student, currently studying Biomedical Science with a specialism in Cancer Biology. I Have recently started exposing myself to the professional tutoring environment after tutoring children of family friends etc; tutoring is always something I have enjoyed, being able to teach a subject I'm truly passionate about is amazing! In all students I have previously assisted there has been not only a good level of success but equally as important a dramatic increase in self-confidence when it comes to the subjects I am teaching. I have previously returned from working as a counselor with children in a summer camp in Pensylvania, USA, this also tested my skills of communication and my ability to connect with children of all ages.

Having now successfully completed my intense two years studying an Extended Medical Science Diploma and now moving on to study a degree in Biomedical science and cancer biology, I understand that education can be difficult! Not solely the content but the entire demanding nature of education. This is one of the reasons why I have made the decision to Tutor, as well as this being something I genuinely enjoy in any capacity; seeing others progress and succeed is wonderful!
Recently being immersed in the present education lifestyle means that I have a very current understanding of the dynamics of examinations and how they are marked, up to date content knowledge and teaching methods that work best for today's students.
My teaching style is very immersive and more personal to the student themselves. I believe that when teaching there should be a very specific balance between the type of teaching methods and the materials used for students as no content is the same so neither should it be taught the same, it is important that the student isn't overwhelmed with pages of reading but more of a comprehensive learning experience that is visually immersive and provided in a way that they find genuinely interesting, however that may be; this will naturally allow the student to do better and flourish.
I Have recently been a children's counselor in a summer sleepaway camp in Pensylvania, USA. I have also Previously been asked to take on roles within school and college to lecture younger years.

Details
I charge £10/h, the first lesson is always free to ensure that you are confident in the tutoring! For traveling I charge £1.50 /Mile over 5 Miles, if you become a frequent customer this may be altered. For online lessons, I charge £8/ Hour. As a customer becomes more frequent and has a plan of lessons arrangements may be made for cost such as illustrated above.
