About Advika
I’m a Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Southampton, and I know from my own experience that studying Biology isn’t always easy. I’ve been in the position of struggling with topics, feeling unsure about where to start and needing things explained in a different way.
Because of this, I want my lessons to focus on the things I would have found most helpful as a student: breaking difficult topics into manageable parts, explaining the reasoning behind concepts, practising exam questions and building confidence along the way.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about getting something wrong. My goal is not just to help students remember Biology, but to help them understand it and feel more confident in their own ability.
I can support GCSE and A-level Biology students with exam preparation, difficult topics and general confidence in the subject.

I’m a friendly and patient Biomedical Sciences graduate who enjoys helping others understand Biology. I know that some topics can feel complicated or overwhelming, so I like to break them down into simple, manageable steps and make sure students genuinely understand the topic rather than just memorising it.
As I’m relatively new to tutoring, I want my lessons to feel relaxed, supportive and tailored to each student. I’ll take the time to understand what they’re struggling with and use diagrams, examples, questions and exam-style practice to help build both knowledge and confidence.
Lessons are usually around 60 minutes. We’ll start with a quick recap, work through the main topic together, practise applying what we’ve learned and finish by reviewing the key points.
I graduated in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Southampton, where I studied subjects including genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, pharmacology and bioinformatics, alongside gaining practical laboratory and research experience.
I mainly offer Biology lessons for GCSE and A-level students and can adapt lessons to suit different abilities, learning styles and goals, whether that’s preparing for exams, understanding a difficult topic or simply becoming more confident in Biology.
