About Rebecca
Hello!
My name is Dr. Stairley, but please call me Rebecca. I have a Bachelor's in Biology from Agnes Scott College and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Biology, from the Medical University of South Carolina. Currently I am working as a postdoctoral research associate at a major university. I pride myself on my ability to meet any learner where they're at and walk them through the material with whatever strategy works best for them.

I have 10+ years of experience with tutoring both individuals and workshops for small groups. For 3 of those years, I tought supplemental classes for college students through my college's tutoring program, for both STEM majors and non-STEM majors. I understand how to communicate with students of varying learning styles, so I can effectively supplement your student's lessons.
My process typically starts with a free consultation to discuss your student's needs and goals, after which we can schedule a tutoring session. I will prepare custom learning materials for your student that is theirs to keep, and I always prefer to discuss progress with the parent, if applicable.
Due to the amount of effort I put into each student, I am not able to take a large number of students at a time. So please reach out sooner rather than later if you'd like to work with me!

All study materials I provide are included in my rate and are personalized for your student. Additionally, if our session runs a little over an hour, I will never charge for a few extra minutes. I am always willing to work to stay within a specific budget to be as accessible as possible.
