About Laura
Hello! My name is Laura.
I am enthusiastic and dedicated tutor with a passion for science and maths and a strong academic background. I have worked as a teaching assistant in a school, where I loved helping students learn and have fun with their studies. I appreciate that schoolwork can be challenging, but I am committed to making learning a less stressful and more enjoyable experience.

I am currently a Biosciences undergraduate at Durham University. At A-Level, I achieved A*A*AA in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics respectively.
I have 1 year of paid experience working full-time as a teaching assistant (maths, sciences and English) for ages 7-13. I taught classes as well as 1-to-1. My responsibilities also included creating and marking worksheets specialised for the student. I have tutored children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and mild autism.
My approach to teaching is specialised to the individual, with a focus on answering questions and applying knowledge rather than relying on lectures. The length and frequency of lessons can be modified to what best suits your child.
