About Jean
Finding the right rhythm in a blues progression makes the guitar come alive during our first meeting. We spend time tuning and maintenance to ensure your instrument performs as well as you do. Improvisation and soloing become natural extensions of your practice as we move through the material.
Reading sheet music is a critical skill I emphasize for all students. My Bachelor of Music from The Glenn Gould School informs how I approach ear training and theory. We focus on clear technical goals for every session. Hearing the results of your hard work is what makes this process so enjoyable.

Standing in a studio for 13 years has sharpened my focus on the mechanics of guitar playing. I recall performing across Canada for 13 years before committing myself to helping 229 students navigate their musical path. My Bachelor of Music from The Glenn Gould School grounds my teaching in solid theory. Working with kids and intermediate learners requires a specific blend of patience and precision.
I guide you through acoustic technique and fingerpicking with a steady hand. My experience allows me to break down complex electric technique into manageable steps for any student. Let us start our work together to build your confidence.
