About Amelia
I am a trainee lawyer who has previously private tutored for English and Legal Studies since commencing my degree in 2016. My favourite thing about tutoring was seeing my students flourish and become more confident in their ability to understand and complete their assessment.
I have a Bachelor of Laws and International Relations from Bond University and am a Gold Coast local so I understand the local schooling systems well. During high school I studied Philosophy, Legal Studies, English Extension (Literature) and Music Extension. With a strong passion for essay writing and a thorough understanding of how to work smart instead of hard, I would be a great tutor and mentor for a student at any level of their schooling.

As a diverse learner myself, I always find it important to cater to each student's own learning style. Whether it be through visual, audible, or sensory learning, one of my first tasks as a tutor is to understand which styles suits you the most.
My lesson style centres around identifying the areas where a student is having trouble understanding the task and why that is the case. I then address these issues by working through examples with the student in order to make them feel more comfortable. I then tailor my approach to a particular assessment they are working on to better contextualise their understanding.
