About Hu
I am a second-year student at the University of Queensland. I love playing guitar, painting, photography and watching movies. I hope we share some common interests. To be completely honest, my initial motivation for becoming a tutor was to earn some extra money for my university studies by teaching what I’m best at. At the same time, I’ve gained a lot of teaching experience, having taught English to elementary school students for two years. I’ve also studied Japanese for several years, so I understand how to master a language quickly and efficiently. Lastly, I’ve encountered very few patient tutors during my language studies, which gradually diminished my interest in learning languages. I understand the importance of being a patient and engaging tutor, and I strive to be the kind of tutor I wish I had.

Hi! I was born and raised in China, so I speak fluent Chinese and have a deep understanding of Chinese culture, traditions, and almost everything about China. I started learning Chinese calligraphy at a very young age, which has made me skilled in Chinese handwriting. Currently, I’m a bachelor’s student in environmental science at the University of Queensland. I practice speaking English every day by having conversations with locals. As a tutor, I believe patience is the most important quality. I've encountered many influential teachers on my journey to learn English, and I’ve seen how a lack of patience can gradually diminish interest in the language. Therefore, I will be very patient and do my best to make my classes engaging.
