About Elena
Hello! I'm so excited to join Superprof to hopefully meet you soon!
I’ve been a classroom teacher, mostly in Kindergarten, for about 4 years. I taught English in college at the University of Michigan, and I taught English in Chile, South America, for 1 year. Teaching English in Chile is really where I was inspired to become a full-time teacher, and use that passion to help others. I love learning new languages, meeting new people, and learning about their walks of life and culture. I also love to chat, so I have many things ready for us to talk about and learn from one another. I love grammar so I’m able to help with your English more formally, or also casually. I also speak Hebrew and Spanish, so I understand the challenges and joys of learning a new language.

I am confident teaching both kids and adults, and my teaching method is student-centered; I base my classes on what students want and need, and I use student's interests to drive our lessons. I can lead formal sessions (grammar, writing, reading, vocabulary, etc) or casual sessions more focused on conversation. I am patient, personable, and flexible, and I strive to make each student feel valued on their English journey.
