About Sofia
I’m a journalism student, so writing and communication have always been my passion. Brazilian Portuguese has a huge importance in my life because it is part of who I am. I want to be a language teacher because I believe that languages connect people and through language we can also learn so much about culture, society, politics and just find out a whole new world and community.

Through my language studies I notice that conversation is one of the hardest parts of mastering a language. So I like to include a lot of conversation, audios/movies/music, grammar through essays, letters and exercises involving the basics of everyday Brazilian Portuguese. Also I strongly believe it’s important to have a contemporary vocabulary, so slangs are part of the learning process too
