About Phoebe
I am a dedicated Math tutor with more than 8 years of experience and a degree in Mathematics and Statistics. My teaching is centered on supporting IB and A-Level students to achieve their highest potential. I emphasize conceptual clarity, ensuring that every lesson builds true understanding rather than rote learning. My main areas of expertise are Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics. These subjects form the foundation of advanced mathematics and exam success. I use a variety of problem-solving approaches to help students develop adaptable and critical thinking skills. Past paper practice is an integral part of my approach, preparing students for real exam challenges. I provide detailed guidance while encouraging independent learning. My teaching methodology is focused on building strong foundations in both mathematics and computational thinking. I take a relaxed, application-driven approach, making sure students see how math applies to real-world and digital contexts. I teach Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and also extend into discrete mathematics, algorithms, and computational processes for computer science. Proof Seekers benefit from detailed explanations and logical exploration. I emphasize communication, encouraging learners to express their ideas naturally and confidently. Past paper practice is a regular part of lessons, strengthening exam readiness. Coding-inspired exercises and logical puzzles add variety and deepen understanding. I break problems into smaller steps, helping students build confidence as they progress. My lessons are interactive and supportive, tailored to each learner’s needs.
