About Ben
I am a current English undergraduate student at Bristol University, I have been helping students improve their understanding of English and Humanities essay writing for the last 3 years, since my first year of college. Whilst my students have displayed a wide range of investment and interest, I have always seen a positive reception and an improvement in their fundamental understanding of presenting points and formulating arguments through the medium of an essay after my time with them.

My teaching method focuses on the approach to the essay - too much students are bogged down with PEE paragraphs and preselected essay structures. I believe the form of the essay is the closest we have academically to a blank canvas, I hope to be able to unlock the student's view on this and get them enthusiastic about the possibilities that lie in front of them when sitting down to write an assignment or exam.
