About George
I am a history nerd living in Oakland. Originally from NY, I work in Sales. I graduated from the University of St Andrews (ranked no.2 University overall in the UK by the Guardian) in 2014 with a Scottish Masters in Modern History. While largely European focused, I also have a passion for Film and US History. I have had a passion for history since middle school and I credit my amazing middle and high-school teachers for that; I hope to bring this same passion and excitement for the subject to my students!

Every student learns differently and is receptive to different teaching styles. My lesson plans and teaching style are dictated by the needs of the student. I will ensure that these are adapted to the student as early as possible. As we have more lessons, small changes will be made to ensure that we are optimizing our time together, that the student is learning, and, most importantly, enjoying the subject matter. I hope to present a rigorous lesson plan that is especially adapted for each student that will be engaging, thorough and fun.
