About Lucy
I love to teach because I can remember how stressful exams and school can be, and I just want to help alleviate some of that stress. Maths is a subject that many people find challenging, but once you get the hang of it, it can be so satisfying. I love when my lessons have improved a pupil's confidence, and to help people realise it may not be all that bad! Sometimes it just takes practice and one-on-one tuition rather than being taught in a class full of people.

Hello! I'm Lucy and I am a Biological Sciences graduate at the University of Leeds. Additionally to my passion for science, I studied mathematics at A-level and have taught over 500 one-hour lessons in GCSE maths to pupils with a range of abilities. At A-level I achieved AAA grades in biology, chemistry and maths.
My lessons usually begin with understanding the pupil's specific strengths and weaknesses within the subject, so that I can focus on these topics in upcoming lessons. We will go through many exam-style questions until the pupil shows confidence and independence in a different range of questions.
