About Themba
I started my math journey in grade 9 as we all do, I did amazingly well in math as a matter of fact I ranked in the top 25 of the school(around 2000 learners), not just the grade. Went on to chose science subjects in high school. Honestly for the first few years I was distracted could not even spend 20 min with a book, but somehow I passed(not condoned). When I was in mid grade 11 I distanced myself from any ties and focused on my books, I made huge improvements, seeing my potential I intentionally wanted to fail(because then I will have more time to study and prepare for my final grade 11 exams) but financial situations at home got bad just as I was entering final exams, I then knew how important it is for me to finish school quickly, again I passed not condoned with marks that didn't allow me to enter a university of technology never-mind a university, things got better at home and I just put my head down, in just 3 month I managed to get from Level 1 in math to Level 5, now I never surpassed that but I maintained that level 5 till my matric finals, and honestly that is my proudest achievement, mind you I didn't have a calculator since my first test(People kept stealing it before a test or exam)

First and importantly I expect you to know the literature of the topic, while I can teach you that, personally I won't gain anything from that but I am willing to teach if that's what you want. I honestly would like to meet you once a week for a 5 hour session where we go through all your difficulties during the week, and towards the end I will assign work then we meet the following week. I am particularly aiming for students who think they can't do math and show them how to do math and honestly it starts with literature of math.
