About Leon
I'm a final year Computer Science student at University in the UK. I have been captivated by computing since I was 13 and programmed ever since.
My passion was formalised in sixth form where I achieved an A in my final project. I have achieved first class honours in my first and second years of University and have had industry experience at a financial technology company for a placement year.
I'm fluent in a range of programming languages including Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bash, Python amongst others and am happy to learn new languages to assist you. I have a love for object oriented design, problem solving, software engineering and a lifetimes worth of exam experience that I'm keen to share.
I have been teaching since I was 11, initially on the tennis court for a range of ages but in the last two years in lecture theatres assisting in University teaching and assisting in concepts with lower years.
Other hobbies include Football and Music.

Able to provide hands on and patient tutoring. My philosophy is helping understand the purpose of what and why concepts work and not just how to do them. I believe firmly that this will put students in good stead for the near and far future.
Whether requiring assistance in exam technique, the syllabus or programming problems I will seek to help students understand the root of the problem. I'm keen to help students explore computing further than their education settings and inspire taking on a career in the area.
I am able to provide exercises or have exercises brought to me and work on these.
With all this in mind, I hope to provide a friendly, kind and insightful tutoring experience to bring the best out of my pupils.
