About Ruth
I am an RN with a BSN and have spent the majority of my career in the O.R and Home Health, working as a staff nurse, charge nurse, manager and educator. My latest area of practice focuses on patient outcomes, and financial stewardship - a component that our novice nurses will need to master in this dynamic healthcare environment. I have always loved teaching and understand how important it is to provide great learning experiences for student nurses and novice nurses as they move through various levels of competency. You are our future and I would like to assist in your professional development.

To facilitate successful outcomes I base my teaching methods, on learner goal(s) and adult learning styles; teaching content, on evidence-based practices and recommended standards of care. Much as the nursing process does, we will develop a individual learning plan with ongoing evaluation to see that we are moving towards your learning goal. I have been a one-on-one mentor and preceptor, and a clinical educator teaching group classes in the community and in a variety of facilities for multidisciplinary healthcare providers.
