About Sanchita

I am a mathematics teacher with 11 years of teaching experience. I have done my master's (gold medalist) and teacher training in mathematics, and I can handle students according to their understanding capability. I believe in developing a teacher-student bond which encourages students to put their doubts and points more comfortably and eliminates their hesitation in asking questions.

About the lesson

I believe in teaching by giving examples and analogies to make the subject interesting . I prefer techniques which emphasize on making student understand the basic concepts , formulae and tricks in simplified manner so that rather than rote memorization they can solve the problem on their own and enjoy learning. Also rather than giving them readymade answers I encourage student to ignite that flame of curiosity and find their own way in working out the solutions .

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
For me, Math is not just a subject, but it plays a big role in acting as a brain food and for a child's overall growth. It's a subject that builds your logical thinking and affects your whole academic performance. Maths work on your mindset and makes you ready to deal with problems and face challenges by thinking rationally.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I was fascinated by my maths teachers as well as the subject since childhood. During my growing years in school, my interest if maths aldo grew. I used to help my friends and juniors with learning maths and slowly it motivated me to start teaching since they always used to say that they understand me very easily with my way and I had this talent for teaching in a great way.
How does your work help society?
I read somewhere that there are three people who can bring change in society: student, mother, and teacher" which hit my mind.
I have gone through the phase of student and now I am working as a teacher and a mother by utilizing my knowledge and experience to nurture the base and form ideas about society, life, and personal goals.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My Teacher of course. Mrs.Meena Agrawal. I was always fascinated by her ideas, thinking, outlook, and what not, and always wanted to be like her.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Apart from teaching, I love reading books, doing logical and brainstorming activities and of course, music and dance go along with everything.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
Ok. So there is this moment from my hostel life which is very close to my heart and my motivational turn to choose the teaching profession. So I had a junior who got flunked in her first year and she was totally broken by this. When I found out I started helping her with the subject and soon my ways of teaching started becoming popular in the hostel groups of girls started coming to me to help them with their studies and they all got a very good score and used to come to me to on the day of results with a happy smile on their faces which was very satisfying.
