About Duncan
Hi, I'm Duncan, a student currently taking business at the University of Bath. I have always had a passion for business and science (in particular Biology). I am an avid member of the Biosciences society at university so my biology knowledge stays fresh in my head, and now that I am not studying any science related subjects, I want to bring science back into my life in the form of tutoring.
I privately tutored 4 students over the course of 2022, including GCSE and A-Level biology and geography students - helping all my students exceed their target grades. Since February 2024 I have continued tutoring GCSE and A-Level students online, gaining valuable experience and receiving appraisals from parents.
I have proven success in the subjects I want to tutor, achieving an A* in biology and economics at A-Level, two grade 9s in GCSE double science and a grade 9 in business studies. I aim to combine my breadth and depth of knowledge in science and business with engaging lessons that contain multiple activities, I know how tedious constantly writing notes down from a powerpoint can be! However, I am also very adaptable, and as I gather which way you prefer to learn, I will focus on accommodating that. I am able to break down ideas, that may have seemed complex at first, into smaller, more digestible content.
