My teaching method is to have my students provide me with the topics they want to cover the day prior. Then in the lesson I help my students review information, develop deeper understanding of the content, and receive assistance with assignments. I will explain background information so you can understand well enough to do your own assignments. If you want help with an assignment, please bring the rubric and I can provide feedback or help you brainstorm ideas of how to start and where to look for more information.

I definitely recommend Amber as a tutor. She is not only well informed, but also very patient and engaging in the way she teaches.
Amber has helped my boys gain skills that allow them to improve how they learn. She is fabulous at teaching the subject matter in an easy to understand way. She helps her students understand biological systems that lead to the answers. However, the best thing is that she patiently asks relevant, thought provoking questions that take her students through the problem solving process step by step. In this way my boys have learned how to use reasoning to find solutions. This is a skill that will help them throughout their life.
