About Violet
Hi, I'm Violet. I am a Civil Engineer, working at AECOM, and a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. I graduated from Cambridge with a Masters of Engineering in Civil, Structural, Environmental, and Mechanical Engineering, and I have A*s at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science.
I want to help students to develop their skills in these subjects, to understand rather than regurgitate, and to find success in these subjects academic.

The first few sessions focus on identifying strengths and weaknesses, identifying where support is most needed. From there my approach focuses on understanding above memorisation or simply practising exam questions. A student who truly understands the material will always outperform one who has merely memorised a series of facts, and in my experience this approach also results in better student engagement in learning.
