About Alex
I am an English Literature undergraduate at the University of Cambridge.
I achieved 4 A*s in A-Level English Literature, History, Politics, and EPQ. My result for English Literature (299/300) placed me amongst top in the country in the 2022 exam year. At GCSE I obtained 10 A*s (nine 9s & one 8, w/ 9s in English Lit and Lang).
I teach A-Level English Literature, History, Politics, essay technique, GCSE English Literature & History, and also tutor Oxbridge admissions.
As a tutor I'm dedicated to tailoring his approach to the needs of each individual student. Whilst aiding with the specifics of a subject, my goal is always to teach more transferable learning skills. In this way, it is ultimately the uniqueness the student that governs each session.

My lessons last 40-60 minutes and revolve around material I prepare in advance of the session or work produced by the student. I'm particularly interested in evidence-based writing techniques and working collaboratively on Google Docs. I'm happy to set and mark work and to offer detailed feedback on essays.
Sessions are targeted primarily at A-Level students and university applicants, although I'm available to teach English and History at GCSE.
