About Amelia
I am a modern languages teacher in a secondary school near Birmingham. I graduated from Cambridge with a degree in German and Spanish and grew up in France speaking French. I have worked as a translator and proofreader. I also have experience tutoring with proven results, increasing students' grades from C to A* at GCSE from B to A at A-level and have boosted students to achieve top grades in common entrance exams.

I am a very calm and patient tutor. I like to work with my students to agree on areas for improvement. I like to include all four language skills in my lesson: reading, listening, speaking and writing. I am happy to focus on any one of these skills upon request.
I like to work around current topics and include a range of media. As a teacher I am familiar with the national curriculum for languages and am happy to focus on any exam topics if required.
