About Amy
I have recently graduated with an MA in English and an MPhil in Digital Humanities from the University of Cambridge, having previously been an undergraduate English student. I got A*s at A Level in English Literature, Maths, Further Maths and Politics.
I love tutoring as there's nothing quite like helping someone to grow in confidence and reach goals that felt impossible!

I approach each lesson with an open mind, and keep in mind the individual needs of each and every student. Curriculums may be rigid, but lessons shouldn't be.
I will support all students as best as I can, but I'm particularly keen to work with those with special educational needs (diagnosed, suspected or anywhere in between).
I have had to learn how to manage my own ADHD and turn it into something that helps me to succeed, rather than letting it hold me back. There is no 'one-size-fits-all' in life, or in learning.
I have experience working with students from Year 2 up to A Level, including lots of experience with SATs preparation.

Amy helped me with my university applications, and gave lots of useful feedback on different drafts of my personal statement. I ended up getting into Oxford, which was my top choice.
I have worked with Amy as a fellow tutor, and seen them lead both 1-1 and small group sessions. They always seem able to put students at ease, and manage to find ways to tailor the content of their lessons to suit whoever they're working with. I really recommend Amy, especially to those who are a bit unsure about tutoring, whether that's students who haven't had any experience of tutoring before or less-than-positive experiences.
