About Emilia
I am passionate about English literature and have a strong foundation in studying it. I believe in providing an exciting and engaging learning atmosphere for children so that they not only understand the topic but also develop a love for it. In prior experiences, I have observed that incorporating various methods of learning tailored to the student's own learning style helps to make complex topics more approachable and fun for learners. I am committed to recognising each child's unique learning style and tailoring my approach to their specific needs. My goal is not just to help them thrive academically, but also to instill in them a sense of curiosity and confidence in their skills, as well as to share my passion for literature.

I have completed the AS Cambridge literature course, and received an A* in IGCSE Cambridge literature. I have also received an 8 on my MYP diploma for English literature, when studying abroad at an international school.
I am a part of a workshop group called 'physics pathfinders' where we organise various workshops for children all over Auckland, and teach them about physics. We create and run them through experiments. This gave me a chance to work closely with kids, and taught me various skills that are considered to be crucial when dealing with children.
My approach to tutoring varies depending on the childs style of learning. For example, for those who learn better through visual learning like me, I would take on a more visual approach with diagrams ect.
Lesson lengths will also vary depending on what the student prefers, particularly in terms of attention span, and what the parent prefers.
