About Sophie
I have recently completed my a-levels, achieving 3 A*s in French, History and English Literature, and am now studying French and beginner's Spanish at the University of Cambridge, achieving a First Class grade in first year for both languages. I have experience doing small group French tutoring work with Year 12 at the school I studied A-level French at, and have since taken on GCSE French students to tutor 1:1. I enjoy both studying and teaching French, and hope to use my passion for the subject to help others reach their potential.

When teaching, my aims would always be the individual needs of the student, and I would work with them to identify then target their weak areas. I am also well aware of the lack of enthusiasm and feeling of 'I'm just not good at languages' that often surrounds MFL in the UK, so hope to combat this through engaging lessons with an emphasis on culture and the student's capacity to interact with it. Having finished school so recently, I am familiar with the current GCSE and A-level curricula and in many cases will be able to use the revision resources I made to help support the student and ensure their success.
