About Calbert
I am a Senior Research Associate in Machine Learning, AI and Natural Language Processing at the University of Cambridge, with over 15 years of teaching and supervisory experience. I hold an MA (Distinction) in Linguistics and Technology from Kyoto University, an MSc (Distinction) in Data Science from Queen Mary University of London, and an MPhil (Distinction) and PhD from the University of Cambridge. My interdisciplinary expertise spans English language instruction, linguistics, phonetics, computational linguistics (NLP), machine learning, AI and critical thinking. Beyond my university roles, I run a thriving online education and research consultancy, mentoring students and early-career researchers worldwide in academic writing, project development, research methods, NLP, machine learning and university admissions guidance.
