About Omar
I’m a dedicated mathematics tutor with a deep passion for helping ambitious students reach their full potential. Over the past 5 years, I’ve delivered more than 800 hours of high-level teaching, supporting GCSE and A-Level students as they work towards top grades and competitive university offers.
My academic background is rooted in rigorous mathematical training. I achieved 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, before completing a Mathematics degree at the University of Cambridge, where clarity of thought, precision, and problem-solving are critical. This foundation allows me to explain complex ideas with structure, intuition, and confidence — giving students the tools they need to excel.
Professionalism is central to my approach. Students can expect well-planned lessons, clear communication, and a supportive learning environment that balances challenge with encouragement. I take pride in being reliable, organised, and fully committed to each student’s progress.

My lessons are built around one core principle: depth of understanding creates exam success. Students don’t just learn how to solve problems — they learn why the methods work, how to adapt them under pressure, and how to think like top-performing mathematicians. Every session blends clear conceptual teaching with targeted exam-technique training, using past paper questions to build confidence, speed, and precision.
A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, structured to maximise focus and retention. We begin with a short diagnostic warm-up, move into deep exploration of the topic, and finish with exam-style questions designed to stretch the student and reveal the next steps in their progression.
