I met Omar through recommendation from a friend. His style of teaching allows you to make errors and he will catch them once you've answered them, and he'll demonstrate how to do problems if you need to be taught how to do them.

Omar has been my Maths Tutor for the TMUA, STEP and A-Level Maths for the past few months, and the quality of the lessons has been excellent.
A typical lesson lasts for 1 hour, and no time is wasted as we jump right into doing questions that either I have brought to the lesson or he has selected based on topics I would like to cover. The lessons are very flexible, as I am able to bring a wide variety of questions and topics to the session.
He consistently breaks down the intuition behind the questions that we go through, and is committed to providing the best explanations possible for every question.
For example, the methods used to solve questions are always analysed and reflected upon, especially if there are multiple options, and he thoroughly explains why one is better than the other and what key ideas I should take away for next time. This really helps in building mathematical maturity and intuition.
One area in particular that I have developed in has been in considering algebraic vs geometric approaches, where geometric approaches often provide a more elegant approach but may be more difficult to spot. We have explored this topic in depth over a variety of questions.
Furthermore, he never shuts down ideas and allows the student to explore different paths which allows for deeper and more effective learning. He is supportive, patient and always willing to make the most of the allotted lesson time.
I would definitely recommend him as a tutor, due to his consistent in and out of lesson support and excellent explanations!
