About Sophia
I studied Spanish, English, and Drama at A level and found wonderful ways to combine these three subjects. For Drama, I volunteered at the Spanish-speaking Cervantes Theatre. For English, I read many Hispanic authors, which gave me a different perspective on global texts. I also applied languages outside of the classroom; I achieved my Grade 8 ABRSM in Singing by performing in Spanish. As a teacher, I bring this interdisciplinary approach to our classes, tailoring activities to what interests you.

Hi, I’m Sophia! I’m currently studying Spanish post-A level and Italian ab initio at Cambridge as a second-year undergraduate. In Spanish, I achieved an A* at A level and a 9 at GCSE. Having embarked on learning Italian myself this past year, I’m familiar with the effort that learning a new language requires. Your studies benefit from consistent practice, which is why I recommend weekly lessons to help you stay on track. Working together, we’ll target areas that need more work, whether that’s grammar exercises, preparing for the speaking exam, or writing a stellar literature essay. I offer classes at both GCSE and A level, and have experience working in a Spanish-speaking school. I can’t wait to meet you and help you ace your exams!
