About Daisy
As a professional musician and educator with degrees from the universities of Cambridge and York, I enjoy teaching and tutoring individuals with a diverse range of interests and ambitions. Whether you are looking to learn an entirely new skill or prepare for specific forms of music assessment, I relish being able to unlock the joy of learning music.
As well as teaching music privately, I currently lead curricular primary school music provision, and hold experience leading music projects in prisons, and with adults living with dementia, a learning disability, and complex health needs. It has been a privilege to work in so many different ways with individuals with different responses to, and needs for, music.

I am an experienced music teacher with an MA in Music from the University of Cambridge, and an MA in Community Music from the University of York with distinction. I received A*s in GCSE and A-Level Music, and hold Grades 1-8 in piano (ABRSM) each with distinction. I have also held choral scholarships in both Cambridge and London, and regularly perform as a freelance singer.
I offer lessons of 30 minutes and 60 minutes, depending on clients' age and level of experience. I work with clients from EYFS to A-Level, offering tuition in musicianship, composition, music theory, music analysis, essay writing and performance/technique. I welcome any interest from both total beginners and experienced musicians.
My teaching is centred around Kodály pedagogy, having received the 2025 Cecilia Vajda Memorial Scholarship with the British Kodály Academy. I prioritise fluent, effective rhythm reading and an internalised sense of pitch through a singing-led approach within my teaching to build sight-reading and dictation skills.
