About Alexandra
Having spent eleven years teaching at a British international school based in the South of Spain, I have learnt how to design truly effective language lessons that are tailored to the needs of each student. I followed the British A-level programme achieving grades A*A*AA with an A in English Literature, and I am currently studying at EDHEC Business School. Naturally, I recognise the learning difficulties of each of the languages I teach, which helps me to develop exercises that facilitate this learning process and target my students’ weaknesses. Having many years of experience in language tutoring, I have created many lessons to suit all different learning needs in order to cater for each individual. I also recognise that it is often important to get on well with a teacher/tutor to get the most out of your learning opportunity, so I am happy to offer a free consultation session to ensure I am a good fit for you!

I strongly believe that practice makes perfect, which is why I really encourage my students to practise as soon as possible. Depending on their skill level, I motivate them to interact with me in English as much as possible, but I am happy to switch to Spanish or Russian if it helps. My lessons consist of interactive slideshows and worksheets, which I carefully guide my students through. In order to help with cognitive retention, I ask my students to personalise their learning based on their daily lives. Additionally, I am always coming up with new ideas to make my lessons more effective and productive and I am always receptive to feedback!
