About Maiara Braz
I have been teaching English as a second language for three years. I have had experience in several different teaching environments, such as language schools where the students were mostly children and adolescents. I have worked for large companies, such as Mercedes-Benz, helping their employees feel more confident when using English in their work environment, with technical vocabulary suitable for the business world. I have experience with students who do not speak Portuguese, where I used their little English prior knowledge to explain new things and add vocabulary and grammatical rules to their abilities. I also had the opportunity to work in parallel with private students, personally and online, where I develop study material according to the students' needs.

I am an experienced, charismatic and patient teacher. I hold a CELTA certificate, from Cambridge University, acquired in Edinburgh. I teach children, adolescents, and adults in a light, interactive way, with content directed to the specific difficulties of each student. I develop classes, exercises, and homework adapting them to the needs of each student. I believe that mastering a second language goes beyond grammar and vocabulary, where the culture of the language-speaking country is very important.
