About Sonny
My name is Sonny, and I am an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor with a track record of responsible and reliable work. I am currently studying languages at the University of Cambridge and I have A levels in Maths, Spanish and Latin (all at A*), along with 11 GCSEs at Grade 9. I love languages, and this is a passion I’m keen to share with others through engaging and personalised teaching.

My experience working with children and young people has included helping with literacy and numeracy in a primary school, mentoring GCSE students in Maths, English and languages and coaching tennis. I love music, cooking, travel and sports, (I play football for my College first team as well as tennis and mixed netball) – and my broad range of interests means I can find common ground with all different types of pupils. I enjoy working with both younger children and teenagers and adapt my style in line with their differing stages of development and needs.
As a tutor, I focus on the individual pupil and their needs – planning lessons carefully based around refreshing and reinforcing learning from the previous session then building up accordingly – making sure that learning is retained and confidence developed. Where pupils or parents have particular needs, I can tailor sessions accordingly.
