About Marjorie
I want to teach you because helping someone grow is one of the most meaningful things in my life. When I share what I know, I feel a connection, a real human moment where our minds meet, and I get to watch you become more confident with every step. Teaching gives me purpose. I’m patient, I listen, and I genuinely want you to succeed. I’ve had moments in my own life when someone believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself, and that stayed with me. Now I want to give that same encouragement to you. I want you to feel supported, understood, and capable. I teach because I believe in you. I teach because helping someone learn is one of the kindest things a person can do. And I teach because guiding you forward also helps me grow as a human being more compassionate, more hopeful, and more connected.

1. The Structure of a Simple English Sentence
Most basic English sentences follow this pattern:
Subject + Verb + Object
• Subject – the person or thing doing the action
• Verb – the action
• Object – the person or thing receiving the action
Examples:
• I (subject) eat (verb) apples (object).
• She (subject) reads (verb) books (object).
Try reading each part slowly. Notice who is doing the action and what they are doing.
