About Vanessa
As a physical therapy assistant I have a good understanding of the human body and what helps/harms it. I have worked with many clients with various pathologies and states of conditioning in a work hardening program, orthopedic clinic, geriatric clinic, and even a little bit of pediatrics. I have a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of physical therapy and nutrition. I have always loved learning and teaching these topics.
In my spare time I am learning Spanish (definitely not fluent yet), piano, and martial arts. I also enjoy a little Netflix at the end of the day.

I have previous experience teaching/tutoring basic nutrition and introduction to kinesiology and biomechanics but I can help with anything involving physical therapy assistant (anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, neuro, etc.).
My normal method of teaching is very interactive. I expect the student to come with questions, we discuss the topic, and when I feel the student has a sufficient grasp of the info I ask them questions. The best way to learn and remember something is to teach it! Of course I'm completely willing to adjust my teaching style to match the student's preferences and needs! I can tutor one-on-one or in a group. If I don't know the answer to a question I will do everything I can to figure it out and let the student know ASAP. I am grateful for feedback and suggestions on how to be a better tutor.
I love teaching and I love being a physical therapy assistant!
