About Amy
Hi there! I'm Amy – I'm 30 years old, originally from Toronto, Canada, but I'm currently in Cambridge with my partner until September 9th. I studied English and Communications at McMaster University and have had many students over the years in Canada and Australia. After graduating, I worked as a freelance copywriter, specialising in SEO, and I currently create travel content, which is why I no longer live in Canada! I structure my lessons depending on the needs of my student and adjust if I feel there's a better way to reach the needs of the student I'm working with! I've tutored in Canada and Australia and have worked with children with special needs and from the ages of 5 - 14 but I'm also happy to assist adult language learners looking to improve their English skills. Once we've discussed what you hope to gain from a tutoring session with me, I'll create a lesson plan tailored to your needs. I know that everyone has a different learning style, so I like to find a way to work together that feels most natural for the student, while helping them achieve their goals. I'll provide the student with some (fun) homework at the end of the session to work on so we can evaluate how their learning has improved from week to week!

Amy Rose was my sons babysitter from the age of 6 to 11. I was travelling for work and I trusted Amy to come early, stay late and take care of my son's routines to and from school. Amy assisted with any take home school activities that were needed for the next day. Amy is very creative and thought of fun activities including books and tasks related to the grade he was in, and limiting electronics, replacing with outdoor activities. This kept my son engaged - and is huge reason I recommend Amy.
