About John
I have always been passionate about teaching English to help students from other countries improve and learn. I myself studied Italian at University and i also studied Japanese for 2 years while working as an English teacher in Tokyo so i understand the difficulty and stress of learning a foreign language. I hope because of my time spent living in a foreign country that i am sensitive and want to make sure you learn in a comfortable and relaxing environment. I want to help you improve your confidence by encouraging you to speak and studying a range of interesting topics that you enjoy.

I will usually teach for 1 hour.
I am best teaching lower and intermediate level students.
I usually use materials from textbooks and articles depending on your level. If you want to discuss particular topics or interests i can try to find some interesting material for us to study.
I can create lessons to suit your level. If you find English difficult i can choose easy topics and texts you are comfortable with and enjoy. If you like grammar and vocabulary i can explain it clearly and help you understand and practice it.
If you want to improve speaking, we can spend time speaking about a topic. We can ask each other questions, and i will usually correct and note down any mistakes you make.
If you want to prepare or practice for an exam like First Certificate (FCE), or IELTS, I can help you practice and gain the skills you need to pass.
