About Karen
I currently work part-time at as an teacher of Academic English & Study Skills at a Russell Group University in The UK.
I have 20 years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have taught general and conversational English in groups and one-to-one to all ages from 6 to 60! I also have extensive experience teaching business English mainly to corporate clients but also one-to-one classes as well. For the past few years, I have been teaching Academic English and Study Skills at RMIT, an Australian university in Vietnam and at a Russel Group University in Wales. I can also help with IELTs
I studied for a BA Honours degree in history at York University studying mainly modern history and completed a dissertation about Hong Kong. I completed my CELTA certificate whilst living in Asia and also studied for a Post-graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching & Learning while working for an Australian university in Vietnam.
I love teaching and getting to know students from different cultural backgrounds and experience - we can all learn from each other.
