Growing up, I was never the smart kid in the classroom. My grades were really bad, and I felt stressed within the competitive education system. Later, in higher year levels, I joined tutoring classes where innovative methods helped me pass my final exams satisfactorily. However, it wasn't until university that I realized my school education was entirely teacher-centered, lacking differentiated learning opportunities. With innovative pedagogies at university, I built myself academically. Now a teacher, I am acutely aware of how to help students reach their potential and avoid the mistakes my own educators made. I strongly believe that, with the right training, any student is capable of achieving their highest potential.
I am an EAL learner myself and therefore I can personally relate to EAL students who are facing the extra challenge of navigating subject matters while also improving their English knowledge.

I structure my lessons into different stages:
> Do Now Tasks: A brain teaser to recall former content and existing knowledge.
> Mini-Lecture: Delivering content knowledge using explicit teaching techniques.
> Activity 1: Targets practicing basic content and/or skills.
Discussion: Reviewing the former activity.
> Activity 2: Requires additional time and effort, enabling students to apply learned knowledge.
> Discussion: Reviewing the former activity.
> Recap: Often using dialogic pedagogies.
All lessons employ differentiation methods, providing multiple modes of representation, engagement, and expression of knowledge. They are also infused with evidence-based High-Impact Teaching methods. Each lesson's stages follow evidence-based taxonomy (e.g., Blooms), progressing from low to higher-order thinking.
Furthermore, all lessons are designed to enhance cultural awareness, sustainability thinking, and critical literacy.
