About Doris Vanessa
I am an UTRGV alumni (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) (2019) in Brownsville, TX with a bachelors in voice and a certification in music education from Elementary through High School levels. I have an associate in voice (2012). I can teach music in English and Spanish perfectly. I have methods and books to nurture student's learning for all types of levels, from beginner to professional. I am certified to teach diction (IPA), musicality, belcanto among other vocal techniques. I am trained to teach singing in various languages such as: Italian, German, English, Spanish and French.

My teaching philosophy is that everyone has the ability to sing or play any instrument regardless of your strengths and weaknesses. Music is a very complete art and many subjects are connected to it such as, mathematics, science, languages, kinesiology, psychology, philosophy, among many others. Basically my class structure with my students I start based on what they want to achieve. We set learning goals to meet expectations and based on their level I select warm-up exercises to vocalize and repertoire to sing in a healthy way.

Details
Cancellation has to be made at least 24 hours in advance to request a make-up lesson, otherwise the lesson will be charged as per normal and you will miss you lesson.
If student cannot afford a voice lesson at the price established, please let me know. I can do a special price for certain cases.
